Secondary Education

Class 6 – Class 10 · Ages 11 to 16 years

The Secondary section prepares students for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination conducted by SEBA. Our curriculum combines rigorous academic training with laboratory work, project-based learning, and systematic exam preparation to ensure outstanding board results.

Students in Class 9 and 10 receive focused attention for board exam preparation including mock tests, question paper analysis, and individual mentoring to help them achieve their best potential in the HSLC examination.

The secondary curriculum follows the SEBA syllabus with subjects organized as per the board's guidelines.

  • • Social Science (Full marks: 100)

* Total: 6 subjects × 100 = 600 marks in HSLC

Board Examination Preparation

Structured Revision

Class 10 syllabus is completed by November, allowing 3 full months for revision, practice tests, and doubt clearance before the HSLC exam.

Mock Examinations

Two pre-board examinations conducted in full exam conditions — including proper answer sheet format, time management, and mark allocation practice.

Individual Mentoring

Each Class 10 student is assigned a mentor teacher who monitors progress, identifies weak areas, and provides personalized guidance and motivation.

Laboratory & Practical Work

Science education at the secondary level includes regular laboratory sessions where students conduct experiments as prescribed in the SEBA syllabus. Practical work is an integral part of the assessment system.

Physics: Experiments on light, electricity, mechanics, and measurements
Chemistry: Salt analysis, acid-base reactions, and chemical tests
Biology: Microscope work, dissection, specimen study, and diagrams

HSLC Science paper includes 20 marks for practical/internal assessment.

Additional Academic Support

Extra Classes

Special extra classes are conducted for Class 9 and 10 students during November–February for board exam preparation. These are included in the regular fee structure.

Remedial Teaching

Students who struggle in specific subjects receive additional remedial classes. Small group sessions focus on clearing fundamental concepts.

Career Guidance

Class 10 students receive guidance on higher secondary stream selection (Arts, Science, Commerce) and available institutions for further studies.

Parent-Teacher Meetings

Regular PTMs are conducted every quarter to discuss student progress, attendance, and areas for improvement with parents/guardians.
