Primary Education
Class 1 – Class 5 · Ages 6 to 11 years
The Primary section at KidsValley Academy builds a strong academic foundation through a well-structured curriculum that develops reading, writing, mathematical, and scientific thinking skills. We combine textbook learning with activity-based teaching to make concepts clear and engaging.
Our experienced primary teachers focus on individual progress, ensuring that every student achieves grade-level competencies while being encouraged to explore their interests and talents through co-curricular activities.
Subjects & Curriculum
The primary curriculum follows the SEBA syllabus with additional emphasis on language skills and computer literacy.
English
Reading comprehension, grammar, composition, creative writing, and spoken English.
Assamese (MIL)
Assamese literature, grammar, essay writing, letter writing, and comprehension.
Mathematics
Arithmetic operations, fractions, measurements, geometry basics, and word problems.
Environmental Studies (1–2)
Introduction to nature, community, seasons, festivals, and basic hygiene.
General Science (3–5)
Living things, materials, energy, earth sciences, and simple experiments.
Social Studies (3–5)
Our neighbourhood, district, state, national symbols, history, and map reading.
Computer Education
Basic computer operations, typing practice, MS Paint, and internet awareness.
Physical Education
Daily exercise, games, yoga, and participation in sports events.
Class-wise Overview
Class 1 & 2
Foundation BuildingFocus on reading fluency, number sense (1–200), basic operations (addition, subtraction), environmental awareness, and handwriting development. English and Assamese alphabets are consolidated with simple sentence formation.
Class 3 & 4
Skill DevelopmentIntroduction of Social Studies and General Science as separate subjects. Mathematics advances to multiplication, division, and fractions. English grammar is introduced systematically. Students begin basic computer operations and typing.
Class 5
Transition to Upper PrimaryComprehensive preparation for the upper primary level. Advanced reading comprehension, essay writing, decimals and percentages in math. Students appear for the state scholarship examination. Focus on independent study habits.
